Brief History:
Caleb Danvers is a Son of Ipswich, a descendent of one of the five families who settled in the Ipswich Colony in the 17th century. The families have supernatural powers which give them the ability to shape-shift, defy gravity, perform superhuman feats of strength, and more. However, using those powers comes at a great price; every time one of the Sons of Ipswich uses his magical powers, he ages prematurely, and the temptation to abuse the power makes it more addictive than any drug. Upon Ascending, the Sons come into their full powers, which are ten times as addictive.
One of the bloodlines died out (or so the four remaining believed), with Caleb being the oldest and closest to Ascending. The boys attended Spencer Academy, an elite school in Massachusettes. At a party, they used their powers to toy with some police officers, and Caleb met Sarah, a new girl in school. He also met Chase Collins. Throughout the following month, many strange things began to happen, mostly revolved around the boys. It seemed that someone was out to get them. They found out that it was Chase, who was actually a Son of Ipswich. On Caleb's father's deathbed, he willed Caleb his powers, so he would be equal to Chase. The two fought, then Caleb Ascended. They fought with Power against one another until Chase was defeated. His body wasn't found.
Caleb finished out the school year with his friends and Sarah, then decided to try his hand at college at Kansas State, where Reid was attending.
